You can drive to Moutcha Bay Resort and launch your boat or we can arrange to pick you up by boat and bring you to Nootka Sound Resort.
Most visitors arrive on Vancouver Island by ferry. From Vancouver, ferry trips run about an hour and a half, and YES, you can make a reservation! Depart from either the Tsawwassen Terminal (Vancouver) to Duke Point (Nanaimo); or from Horseshoe Bay (Vancouver) to Departure Bay (Nanaimo).
Once on the Island head north on Highway 19 which takes you directly to Campbell River. From there head west on Hwy 28 which meanders along lake and mountain sides for about 91 kms (57 miles). This is considered one of the most spectacular drives on Vancouver Island.
From Campbell River take HWY 28 to Gold River, aprroximentaly 1.5 hour drive. As you enter Gold River, drive straight through the main intersection (a tourist info booth will be on the right hand side of the road) and follow the signs to the community of Tahsis on the Head Bay Forest Road. Follow the high grade gravel road for approximentaly 45 minutes till you reach the turn off to Moutcha Bay.
